Our Summer Story – Visiting Family | Family Photography Kingston
Thursday July 28th 2016

Right now I am in Antioch, Illinois (a town north of Chicago, very close to the Wisconsin border) for our annual family visit holiday trip. We’ve been here for about a a week and half, and sadly, closing in on the end of our trip, eek!
But since we live in London, we cherish these two weeks and try to get as much quality time with our family as we can. So that means lots of visits with grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. And that also means lots of photo opportunities
For fun this time, I took the 7 Day Storyteller’s Challenge from Fearless and Framed, a great group of like-minded documentary photographers. I picked one of our MANY summer stories to detail with a conscious effort. We headed out to Rockford (about an hour an a half from Antioch) last Saturday to spend the day with Papa, Grandma Anne, and the rest of my husband’s side of the family.
I hope you enjoy clicking through the story above. You’ll see the sprinkler fun, the sweating drinks, the soaked kid hugs, the exploring nature of our boys and their cousins, the excitement of cupcakes, and the love between grandparents and their grandkids. What summer memories are you making and saving this year?
